Pumgo Skateboard - Blue
Product Details
PUMGO is the world's first push free skateboard. There's no need to push; just PUMP and GO! You never have to put your foot on the ground to move the PUMGO. Just rock back and forth on the board, an off you'll go!Do you like flying down a path on a skateboard? Sure! But maybe you don't like having to push off all the time to make the thing go. That's why the Pumgo is so neat. A Pumgo? What's a Pumgo? Invented in Atlanta, Pumgo is a skateboard that you can keep going while keeping both feet on the board. And you don't need batteries --- or a motor. While you're riding it, you rock your feet back and forth to ''pump'' the parts of the Pumgo that help turn the wheels. Get it? Pumgo: ''Pump'' as you ''go.'' And the more you pump, the more you give your leg muscles a workout. ''Think of it as surfing on land,'' says Hui Yan, the research scientist with Emory University School of Medicine who invented the Pumgo. It took him years. He worked on it in his garage in his spare time and created about a dozen models. Finally, the push-free skateboard was introduced at the 2004 Super Show in Orlando, Florida. Was it a hit? Yep! It was even named Sports Product of the Year.Comes with a 90-day manufacturer's warranty. For a fun workout on the most innovative board around, look no further than the Pumgo.

TAKEN FOR A RIDE - M.O. - Islip N.Y.
DEVIOUS company. i ordered a blue one as pictured for a christmas gift for my 7 year old. they sent me a red one. the box clearly states RED. there is also a clear plastic window on the box so you can see the color of the board. they had the nerve to tell me it was incorrectly marked on the box.that it actually said BLUE.they then said they would send me the BLUE decking material so i could "fix it myself". I dont know how to do that. Why would i want to spend /waste my time attempting to rectify their alleged mistake? Then after not hearing from them for a month i had to contact them again to inquire the status of my "return to shipper" labels that they were supposed to send me(because I wasn't about to re-skin the board)they said "sorry about that.Things got a little crazy after the holidays" and that "somehow my paperwork got buried." Then they actually suggested that I take the board to a skate shop and have them fix it and Pumgo would repay me the cost. What about MY time and effort? Do I work for Pumgo? Are they going to pay me for doing their work? This is probably what really happened at Pumgo during the holidays...1)they ran out of blue boards. 2) just kept on shipping the boards no matter what the color. 3) any complaints are given a LAME EXCUSE and push the consumer to "fix it" to reduce the extra shipping costs to PUMGO. My son never received this "Christmas gift" thanks to PUMGO. Still Unsatisfied to this date(02/09/10).
